Day 9
The next thing I have to tell you is this: I live in the woods! And I love it! I'm far from everything and everyone. I adore being surrounded by leaves and breathing fresh air. I may have to stock up on bread and milk because I cant just run around the corner to a store, but it's worth it.This is me this morning just after dawn. In my woods. <3
Day 10:
The next thing to reveal about myself is my job. I work at Japan Camera.Japan Camera used to be a big chain store with lots and lots of locations, but they died out. So a guy bought the Sydney, Cape Breton franchise, kept the name and now we're an independent store with the old company name.
I adore working here, truly and honestly I do. Of course there are negatives, but generally I've never been so happy! I love what I do and I love being surrounded by cameras all day and printing photos and the people I work with are fantastic.
If you're wondering what's going on in this picture, I'm writing up an order envelope for a customer. =)
Day 11:
I paint!I don't paint well, but I do enjoy it. Mostly I do abstract type stuff. I enjoy working with oils for their texture but hate them for their difficulty in cleaning up. I adore watercolours for their ease in use and cleaning, but get angry at them because they're so difficult to paint with. I like acrylics for their sufficient compromise, but don't like them for their shortcomings because of the compromise.
This is a painting I'm doing for my cousin's new apartment. =)
Day 12:
Soooo I couldn't even make it 2 weeks without resorting to a lazy arms length p&s shot. However, I have a good excuse. I worked all day and I'm really sick. All I wanted was my bed, my cozy pillows, my duvet, Big Bang Theory reruns, and my doggies cuddling up to me.I just feel crappy. I don't even have a good reason to. Actually, I don't even have a bad reason to. I just do. Crappy.
Day 13:

Hi again.
Today I'd like to tell you how much I love to read. I especially adore really, really old books. This is my favourite book of mine, it's an old copy of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. It has no publish date on it, but I took it into my old university english prof who speculated it might be circa 1850-1860ish. I collect books, and have many (around 800, last count) but I love my oldies. I also have a beautiful old (1930s) copy of Black Beauty that I love. Maybe another day.
